The Stepney Club was founded in 1987 and is for children up to eight years old. It is based on our engine "Stepney" the first locomotive to run at the Bluebell Railway again in May 1960 after the line reopened.
Stepney is now over 135 years old so is only in steam occasionally. His brother "Fenchurch" is out of service awaiting an overhaul following his ten years in service. Stepney can be viewed in the engine sheds at Sheffield Park Station.
