Catering Assistant – Horsted Keynes Buffet.
The Bluebell Railway is looking for a part time Catering Assistant to join our busy catering team.
The individual will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of the buffet restaurant which is based at Horsted Keynes Station. The role will involve;
• Opening and closing of the buffet
• Serving and preparing food & drink
• Weekly stock takes
• Cash handling & daily banking
• Food hygiene
• Bar and cellar management
• Maintaining and following relevant legislation
The candidate must have excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills as you will be working with a wide variety of staff and customers. You will be targeted on driving the outlets sales, profits and customer satisfaction.
The individual must possess strong time management and organisation skills as they will be working alone and solely responsible for the daily running of the buffet and stock ordering. You will be required to work weekends 10am – 5.30pm. This is an ideal role for someone who has experience in running a small catering/retail outlet.
A candidate with a personal licence is an advantage although full training will be given.

Silver Service Waiting Staff - Golden Arrow Dining Train
The Bluebell Railway is looking for Silver Service waiting staff to join our skilled team. The role will involve delivering a fine dining experience whilst onboard our prestigious Golden Arrow Pullman dining train. This is a unique opportunity to learn and execute tailored fine dining skills in a challenging environment such as a moving train.
The individual must have impeccable customer service skills, fine attention to detail, thrive in a team environment and the passion to deliver outstanding results!
This is a part time role which will involve working evenings and weekends. Full training provide although previous customer service experience is essential. Excellent rates of pay.
