Victorian Picnic
Enjoy an evening of song and dance as well as a train ride from Horsted Keynes Station to Sheffield Park with a light buffet hamper, wine and soft drinks.
The train departs at 6.30pm from Horsted Keynes station and is formed of nine carriages each over 100 years old.
Following the train service, we make our way to “The Horsted Hippodrome” in the Grand Marquee where we enjoy an hour and a half of Victorian music and humour in the Company of Her Majesty, Queen Victoria herself!
The marquee is fully seated, so no need to bring any of your own seating.
Train fare, show and refreshments are priced at £24.50 per person for Third Class or £34.50 per person for First Class.
Special offer: You can either have an exclusive compartment in Third Class accommodation for six passengers at £100.00 per compartment or £150.00 for six passengers in a First Class compartment. Compartments can accommodate up to 8 passengers. Extra passengers will be charged at the individual price as above.
(Our Third Class compartments enjoy the luxury of a roof and cushioned seats!)
For that extra special journey, why not try our exclusive Great Northern Railway Directors Saloon in armchair or boardroom style seating for up to 18 passengers at £450.00.
The Hamper contains such items as Quiche, Cheese Straws, Pork Pies and other delectable items prepared by our head chef at Sheffield Park. Some items are suitable for vegetarians, however, if you require a whole hamper of vegetarian food, you must advise us by 15th June 2012.
