The garden is stunning in spring with flowering shrubs trees and bulbs.

Summer brings lazy afternoons relaxing by the lake, Picnicking or playing games.

Take a stroll along the shady paths to the cricket pitch, enjoy the adventure of hiding around corners, take the views or just get out a good book. We are here for you to enjoy the garden your way.

Autumn is a festival of colour and an experience not to be missed and then there is the winter wonderland when the garden’s magnificent structure is expose  for all to see.


On our doorstep there are over 300 acres of countryside to explore, with open parkland, easy to follow trails and hidden woodland walks. Bring your dog, bring a picnic and head out to enjoy the amazing views and tranquil surroundings of our parkland


Families can explore our woodland play area at Ringwood Toll, including den building, balance beams and more

Take the Train

Sheffield Park Garden is just a short step from Sheffield Park Railway Station

At weekends until the end of October, Compass Bus services 121 (Saturday) and 769 (Sunday) link the railway station with the Garden

On Saturday:

Service 121 departs Sheffield Park Station for the National Trust at 10.35, 12.35, 2.35 and 4.35.

Service 121 returns from the National Trust to Sheffield Park Station (A275 road - end of station drive) at 10.40, 12.40, 2.40 and 4.40.


It is so easy to reach the Countryside from London with half hourly train services from London Victoria via Clapham Junction, East Croydon and Oxted to East Grinstead, then change onto a Bluebell steam train to Sheffield Park

The Garden is open every day except Christmas Day.
