Our locomotive workshop is located at Sheffield Park Station. Unfortunately being a workshop it is not open to the public, however you are welcome to walk around the locomotive shed and view at close hand the engines not in service on the day of your visit.
Current projects in the locomotive works
South Eastern and Chatham Railway H Class Number 263
Built in 1905 at Ashford works for suburban passenger duties, this locomotive is the sole survivor of a class of 66.
We are hoping the overhaul will be complete in 2011.
Southern Railway S15 Class Number 847
Built in 1936 the S15 is really a goods version of the King Arthur express locomotives and is owned by The Maunsell Locomotive Society.
Undergoing a full overhaul at Sheffeild Park locomotive works, it is hoped this locomotive will be able to return to service sometime in 2012
