A memorial plaque has been placed on the East Grinstead water tower
Bob “The Builder” Saill was a long standing volunteer of the Infrastructure team who sadly passed away in 2025. He was involved in many building projects including improving the brickwork on the piers of the Imberhorne Viaduct and the OP4 carriage shed at Horsted Keynes. While much of this work is unseen by our visitors, the water tower at East Grinstead is the most obvious showpiece of his excellent work. A plaque has now been placed on the water tower to commemorate Bob and his work.
