New for 2026, start the festive season in style with an afternoon on board the Bluebell Railway’s Golden Arrow Pullman.
Starting at Sheffield Park you will enjoy two return journeys through the Sussex Weald, between Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes hauled by two vintage steam engines.
The Bessemer Arms will be open before departure for the opportunity to enjoy a drink before you are invited to board the train.
Stepping on board you will be transported back in time to the heyday of train travel with each of the Pullman car beautifully decorated for the festive season. During your journey uniformed stewards will silver serve you a selection of freshly prepared finger sandwiches, decadent cakes and warm homemade scones, all with a festive twist, accompanied with tea and coffee.
The Golden Arrow comprises of Pullman cars Christine, Fingall and Car 54, all built in the 1920s that have been painstakingly restored to their former glory with marquetry wood panelling, highly polished brass work and comfortable chairs. Car 54 provides wheelchair accessible travel on the Golden Arrow.
