3417 ‘Gordon Pettitt’ at Swanage
This weekend the Bluebell-owned 4VEP unit has been operated at the Swanage Railway’s Diesel Gala and Beer Festival. On the preview day, on the Thursday, it was used to good advantage in Pull-Push mode on alternate services with Class 73 73128 ‘Kent & East Sussex Railway’ and as hauled stock behind Class 47, 47715 ‘Rail Engineering Solutions’, with the other train hauled by Bulleid Pacific 34072 ‘257 Squadron’.

Donations towards the development and maintenance of the VEP unit can be made via The Bluebell Railway Trust – Choose “Other Funds” and write 4VEP in the Message box.
