Our distance club for children under 9 years.
Over the last 30 years, Stepney Club members have grown up to become locomotive drivers, signalmen, guards and much more! This club is for children who are interested in trains and the kinds of things that happen at a heritage railway. Our magazine contains stories, puzzles, information and news about the Bluebell Railway and more!
Stepney is not only the star of a Thomas the Tank Engine story by Rev. Awdry, but he is also the first engine owned by the Bluebell Railway and pulled the first trains when the Bluebell Railway opened back in 1960.
Jump onboard and make sure your train enthusiast is part of Stepney’s exclusive gang. If you like to visit, then there are other benefits to being part of this special group.
A Stepney Club member’s benefits for 2025/26 include:
