Quality locations and historic trains
The Bluebell Railway offers over 11 miles of scenic English countryside, three beautifully-restored Victorian stations, a large collection of historic locomotives, carriages and wagons from the 1870s to the 1960s, and facilities including large carriage sheds suitable for green screen shooting and indoor studios. We’re also connected to the national rail network.
The Bluebell Railway is renowned for its versatility in film and TV productions, including the feature film Blitz, period dramas like “Downton Abbey” and “Sherlock Holmes,” advertisements such as the Cadbury Secret Santa train, documentaries and reality TV, as well as iconic music videos including Sheena Easton’s “Morning Train.”
