Voting is now open in the Steam Railway Readers’ Award
For the second year running, the Bluebell Railway has projects in contention to win the Steam Railway magazine readers’ award. Last year the honours went to ‘Beachy Head’ – this year, with your help, the winner could be the double achievement of Carriage 3687 and the platform 1 renewal at Horsted Keynes.

The Great Northern Railway Directors’ Saloon stands in the rebuilt Platform 1 at Horsted Keynes, on the first day (18 October 2025) that this platform had been used for passenger services since 1914.
