This can be a fitting tribute for loved ones at our historic heritage railway, and family and friends can board the train after the service and travel along the beautiful Sussex countryside sharing memories of your loved ones along the way.
The service is performed while the train is static with one person on the footplate who can place the ashes into the fire box and the remainder of the party can observe from the platform.
The party can then travel on the train at the normal daily ticket price for an All Day Rover.
The charge for this service is £125 payable directly to the Customer Service Office, and we require a minimum of 7 days’ notice to make the necessary arrangements. (Please note that we are unable to offer this service on our large event weekends.)
We can also provide afternoon tea, or you can enjoy something hot in our Bessemer Arms which overlooks the platform.
Should you prefer a larger gathering for a wake to bring together loved ones, we can offer a variety of options to suit your requirements.
