Falconry returns to The Bluebell Railway on April 27th 2024.

Join us for a day of feathered fun and learn all about our beautiful birds at scheduled talks throughout the day at Horsted Keynes, timed seamlessly with train arrivals and departures.

Our passionate falconers will introduce you to our birds, offering you the rare chance to hold them (don’t worry, they’re friendly!). This hands-on experience is a great way to learn and connect with nature.

Can’t wait to meet our feathered friends? They’ll be eagerly waiting at the event, showcasing a variety of species and sizes for you to admire. After our enlightening talks, you’ll even get the opportunity to hold these magnificent creatures on a special glove, guided by our knowledgeable falconers. Don’t forget to snap some unforgettable photos with our birds! Our falconers will be more than happy to assist you in handling the birds, answer any of your questions, and share fascinating facts about our avian friends.

Bluebell Railway welcomes back Trainmaster Sussex to bring the train fun indoors!

Ride and play with an array of train sets at Sheffield Park Station in the Birch Grove Suite. Selection of cakes and bakes, hot and cold drinks will be available at the bar.

Please note the Birch Grove Suite is located upstairs, above the platform’s Bessemer Arms Restaurant.

As one of the leading heritage steam railways in the UK, Bluebell Railway is known for its commitment to preserving and showcasing the rich history of steam locomotives. However, this time they are adding a unique twist to their regular schedule by hosting a Circus Skills event on board their trains and at Kingscote station.
