Wednesday 31 December – 4 round trips, 2 locos in steam
Don’t miss out on our last two days of steam before we close for track re-laying.
Tomorrow we expect to see ‘Wightwick Hall’ (hauling service B) running alongside Rebuilt Battle of Britain Class Bulleid Pacific 34059 ‘Sir Archibald Sinclair’ (on service A in the timetable).
These photos from Owen Hayward show the two locomotives which were running on Saturday 27th: 6989 ‘Wightwick Hall’ and 73082 ‘Camelot’.
Thursday 1 January – our New Year’s Day Gala – 7 round trips – Goods trains – 4 locos in steam
Our Gala on New Year’s Day adds Terrier 72 ‘Fenchurch’ hauling the LNWR Observation Car, along with 73082 ‘Camelot’ on a goods train between the passenger services. Our growing rake of restored goods vehicles is a tribute to the efforts of the Bluebell Railway Goods Division, both for their fundraising, and the physical maintenance and overhaul of the wagons.
All locomotives, rolling stock, and listed activities are subject to availability or last-minute change.
Our public train services resume on 14th February 2026,
and will then be running every day until 22nd February
Family fun is assured over February half-term, with the Brilliant Bricks Takeover Train (Set A)
