Information for booked customers: 5 November – 2 December

Regrettably, the Bluebell Railway has cancelled all planned services from Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December in line with the new national restrictions.

Our customer services department will contact all of our affected customers regarding their bookings. Please be patient, as they have a large number of customers to contact and are working very hard to achieve this as quickly as possible.

The Government has said it will look to return to a regional approach at the end of the four-week period depending on the health data. This means our services from 3 December onward will be kept under review. Currently, we are planning to run these services. We will make further announcements to keep staff, volunteers and customers informed when the situation is clearer.

We are pleased to announce that we have extended this service into January to brighten up the dark winter months. Our customer services team has contacted customers booked for a November date to offer an alternative date in January.

Santa Specials

As we are unable to offer any alternative dates, we will be refunding the price of your ticket including any extra food, drink or gifts that were ordered. We are very sorry to be unable to offer this service and wish you a wonderful Christmas, despite the difficult times.

Our customer services team will contact you directly to issue you with a credit note, so that you may rebook your choice of dining service at a future time to suit you.

Wealden Rambler Festive Afternoon Tea

We currently have availability for this service in December. Our customer services team will contact you directly with an alternative date in December.

The Bessemer Arms, Sheffield Park Kiosk and The Well House Kiosk, Kingscote: All catering facilities will be closed between 5 November and 2 December. We will not be offering a takeaway service.

The Bluebell Railway Shop, Sheffield Park: The shop will be closed to the public from 5 November to 2 December, but will still be selling a range of books, gifts, souvenirs and model railway via the website. Please help support the railway during the closure by ordering your Christmas gifts here.
