Fabric face mask

£5.00

These Face Masks are made by volunteers from washable fabric and elastic in a 2 ply construction with a pocket in between the layers so a filter can be inserted if needed. They are one size only.

The proceeds from this item will be treated as a donation to the Bluebell Railway.

The official advice on this differs across the globe, but the general consensus is that wearing a homemade face mask will not help protect you from contracting Covid-19. However, it can help protect others from you passing on any germs that you may be carrying, this may be particularly useful if you are asymptomatic and don’t realise you are carrying the virus.

Note that the face masks we’re talking about here are not medical-grade face masks, and are not considered PPE.

The CDC recommends wearing a face mask in places where social distancing is not possible, and many countries around the world are also asking their citizens to wear face masks when out in public, or in enclosed spaces such as supermarkets. In England, the government recommends the use of face masks in “enclosed spaces where social distancing is not always possible and they come into contact with others that they do not normally meet”.

These face masks are made in homes with dogs so not suitable for people who have allergies to Dog Fur.
