Great progress on the overhaul of the Southern Q-class 541
Major milestones have been completed on the locomotive’s tender, boiler, chassis and cylinders. As seen in this photo, the new tender tank, constructed by the 4253 Locomotive Company, has been delivered to Sheffield Park, and is now been fitted to the tender frames (which themselves have received new dragboxes at both ends).
