Father’s Day luncheon aboard the Bluebell Railway’s Golden Arrow.
The Bluebell Railway’s Golden Arrow is the perfect setting to celebrate Father’s Day whilst enjoying a finely prepared, silver served three course meal by uniformed stewards.
With luxurious Pullman Cars Christine, Fingall and Car 54, the train recreates the fabulous Golden Arrow which once linked London and Paris with the style and panache which made it one of the most glamorous and famous trains in the world.
‘Christine’ and ‘Fingall’ evoke the heady days of the 1920s with their unique marquetry panels, highly polished brass fittings and plush seating. Pullman Car 54 was built in 1923 by Claytons of Lincoln. It is a historic vehicle, as it is the only operational Claytons-built Pullman in the country. Having returned to service in 2024 following an extensive restoration and adaptation at our very own Carriage and Wagon Department, it accommodates wheelchair passengers, marking the first of its kind.
This premier dining service includes a three-course meal followed by tea or coffee with truffles and Pullman travel lasting approximately 3½ hours as you sit back in your seat as the steam-hauled train winds its way through the beautiful countryside of the Sussex Weald to East Grinstead.
