BLUEBELL RAILWAY MUSIC FESTIVAL

COMING SOON TO THE BLUEBELL RAILWAY!

We are delighted to announce that the railway will be hosting a special music festival, taking place at Horsted Keynes. We hope to bring you an event that will have something for everyone over the two day event.

The festival will take place over the weekend of July 20-21 2024

The first band to perform at the festival will be on stage from 11:00 am on the Saturday morning, bands will then continue throughout the day until 10:00 pm.

On Sunday, bands again will be on stage from 11:00 am through to 7:00 pm in the evening.

The selection of bands brings a range of genres from yesteryear which will suit audiences both young and more mature!

HOW TO GET TO THE BLUEBELL RAILWAY AND THE MUSIC FESTIVAL

The biggest asset of the railway is the railway itself! This event centres around everything that a heritage railway has to offer. This includes:

  • Live running steam engines.
  • The unique opportunity to travel and explore our entire railway.
  • With travel options to the festival, with mainline rail connections from East Grinstead and via local buses to Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes station.
  • In addition to steam trains operating throughout the festival, there will be a small steam fair, both for adults and children. Classic commercial vehicle display at Horsted Keynes.
  • You can visit us by car, with free parking available at Sheffield Park & Horsted Keynes.
  • For those wishing to attend the festival on both days with overnight accommodation, we are pleased to provide you with details of a camp site (local to Sheffield Park station- Ouse Meadow Campsite) Visitors wishing to book this facility are advised to book early, as the campsite will be very popular at this time.

This festival will appeal to all ages and all backgrounds of music. We hope to bring you a fantastic selection of musicians and artists throughout the weekend’s festival! Combining our heritage surroundings at our railway, we will incorporate a heritage feel to your experience with us.

Within the area around Horsted Keynes and where the festival will take place, we will have a variety of activities, food outlets, beer and historical vehicles on display so there will be something for everyone and lots to do and see throughout the festival.

Not to forget, there will (of course) be steam trains operating throughout both days. So why not combine a unique train journey through the High Weald Of Sussex by steam train with live music on a summer’s day and into the evening!
