Bluebell Railway Music Festival

We are delighted to announce that the Bluebell Railway will be hosting a special Sussex music festival, taking place at Horsted Keynes. Join us for an event that promises something for everyone over a two-day celebration.

INFORMATION PROVIDED BELOW IS FROM OUR 2024 EVENT.


Saturday: The first band will perform at 11:00 am, with live music continuing throughout the day until 10:00 pm.

Sunday: Bands will be on stage from 11:00 am through to 7:00 pm.

This family-friendly music festival in Sussex features a diverse selection of bands, bringing a range of genres from yesteryear to appeal to audiences both young and mature.

Entry Cost: Entry to the music festival and travel on the steam trains cost just £1 for children aged 3-15.



HOW TO GET TO THE BLUEBELL RAILWAY AND THE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Location: The Bluebell Railway, Sussex.

  • By Steam Train: Enjoy live running steam engines and the unique opportunity to travel and explore our entire railway.
  • By Mainline Rail: Connections from East Grinstead.
  • By Bus: Local buses to Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes stations.
  • By Car: Free parking available at Sheffield Park & Horsted Keynes stations.
  • For those attending both days with overnight accommodation, consider staying at the nearby Ouse Meadow Campsite (local to Sheffield Park station). Book early to secure your spot for this Sussex festival with live music!

With ample free parking at Horsted Keynes and Sheffield Park Stations, a variety of activities, and a busy train timetable, there will be plenty to see and do all weekend at this outdoor music festival in Sussex.


CUSTOMER INFORMATION

Tickets:

  • Children under 3 years (and babies) travel for free and don’t need a ticket.
  • Tickets are valid for the date specified only.
  • Advance tickets are for 3rd class travel; first-class upgrades are available on the day (subject to availability).
  • Changes to Bluebell bookings incur a £10.00 surcharge.

Food and Drink:

  • Sheffield Park Station: Bessemer Arms and platform kiosk.
  • Horsted Keynes Station: George V Buffet.
  • Kingscote Station: Wellhouse.
  • East Grinstead Station: Grinsteade Buffet.

Facilities:

  • Toilets are available at each station.
  • Some trains have toilets; ask station staff for details.
  • Baby changing facilities are available at each station.

Parking:

  • Free parking at Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes stations.
  • No parking at Kingscote.
  • Limited blue badge parking at East Grinstead; public parking available nearby.

Accessibility:

  • Wheelchair-accessible areas on some services. Call 01825 720800 for details.
  • Accessible toilets at each station; no accessible toilets on trains.

Dogs:

  • Dogs are welcome (no ticket required). Please keep them on a lead and off the seats.

Prams/Pushchairs/Buggies:

  • Foldable/collapsible ones can be stowed by your seat.
  • Non-foldable ones can be left with station staff.
